Defining the Type of Feature Type

You can change the type of a Feature Type within the Manage Features window. The available options are:

• ICON - Icons - this is a system feature type used to define system icons required in the Map Viewer
• PLAC - Place names - i.e. points with only name data
• PTAT - Time series vector data with attributes - attributes can be images
• RASM - Raster models or raster time series, with identical geographical extents
• SURF - Surfaces, e.g. vector topography or bathymetry containing 3D points or lines and having no attributes
• CRUZ - Lines/tracks with attributes per vertex and with no depth.
• OTHR - All other forms of feature type, e.g. vector data with no attributes or single images
