Help Menu

The Help menu contains the following options:

Help Contents

Starts the STEMgis on-line Help System.  Provides access to Help information through a Table of Contents, an Index and a Search facility.

Links

By default this sub menu provides a link to the STEMgis home page. The links menu can also be customized when creating a FreeView project, to link to up to ten different web sites. These sites will typically be related to the project being published, e.g. descriptions of the data included in the database or the participants in the project.

Check for Updates

This menu item enables you to check for updates to STEMgis on the internet. If there are any updates available to you these will be listed and you will be asked in you wish to download and then install the updates. Please remember to close down any STEMgis applications or files before installing any updates.
