Step 6 - Specify the Map Projection

Click on the Setup Virtual Publication tab to display the map projection that will be used in the publication.

Note: While the full STEMgis Viewer uses more than 1200 pre-defined map projections, STEMgis FreeView can use one map projection only.

Selecting a projection

To select a projection, highlight the required projection in the list provided. Some projections are grouped together in an hierarchical list, indicated by the plus symbol. To select individual projections from these groups click on the plus symbol and then select the projection from the next level of projections.

Note: You should already have an idea of which projection you will be specifying from visualization of your data within the STEMgis Viewer.
