Step 7 - Define Banner Text Details

Click on the Setup Virtual Publication tab to display the banner details that will be used in the publication. Banner text is text that appears in the map window of STEMgis FreeView. The text, including a title and current date appears at the same place in the mapwindow irrespective of map extent and zoom level. You may use the control shown below to set the default appearance of the banner text, however, the user has further control over the appearance using the Views -> Options menu item in FreeView.

Use the dialogs shown above to change the appearance, or not, of the appropriate banner text. If you wish the banner text item to appear as default when the user installs your publication, check the Display At Startup check box. To change the font and/or colour click on the Font or Colour buttons. A standard Windows font or colour selector will appear. You may position the text at one of nine positions in the map window. Click on the Place button to select the location. The following dialog will appear.

Select the appropriate position by clicking on the appropriate radio button and then click OK.

Note: Text will be left, centre, and right justified if you select a left , centre, or right position respectively.
