View Metadata

To view metadata associated with a layer click on the View Metadata icon in the Tool Bar or select Layer Metadata from the Layer menu. This icon and menu item will be available only when a layer is active in the Layer Manager and that layer has metadata. The Metadata View will appear showing the first of a possible list of metadata entries associated with the current layer. To scroll through multiple metadata entries click on the left and right arrow buttons.

The displayed metadata entry can be exported in XML format by clicking on the Export to XML button, and then in the Output XML File dialog box selecting a sub-directory, entering a filename and clicking the Save button.

To close the metadata view window, click on the Exit button.
